Building a Rainbow

This demonstration is part of a Calculus laboratory being developed for the University of Minnesota Calculus Initiative. This particular lab uses ideas from calculus to understand the formation of a rainbow. It uses an interactive application that allows the participants to gather experimental data and then analyse it using single-variable calculus techniques.

The interactive portion presented here is from the section titled "Rainbows: Exploration", but you may wish to read other portions of the lab before proceeding to the exploration.
