Conclusions
In all of these varied activities among diverse populations, there is
one common thread: the Geometry Center strives to present mathematics
visually and interactively. We use tools such as computer graphics,
animations, hypertext, videos, and world-record icosahedra
to achieve our goals. And although we do not charge admission to
visitors, we are like a modern science museum: we are trying to convey
to students, teachers, and the general public that mathematics is
alive, requires participation, and can be extremely rewarding.
We continue to seek new opportunities and vehicles to spread this
important message.
