Features:

• Requires an external viewer or a Netscape plug-in
• Can include sound
• Generally larger files than MPEG
• Players are available for most platforms
• Not all people have viewers installed

Players:

• Apple's QuickTime Pages (Mac and Windows)
• Xanim (unix)

Encoders:

• Sparkle (Macintosh) will convert MPEG <==> QuickTime
