Passing Data to CGI Scripts:

• The environment variables are limited for a CGI script (Use the perl %ENV array to get at them)

• The URL for a script can contain data:
  • Form: http://machine/script-name?arguments
  • Arguments are passed in the QUERY_STRING environment variable

• Arguments can be passed as file names:
  • Form: http://machine/script-name/dir/file
  • Arguments are passed in the PATH_INFO environment variable
