Copper Reflections by Don Mitchell and Pat Hanrahan

 

How to make it: Produced by ray tracing software written by Pat Hanrahan (Princeton) and Don Mitchell (AT&T). Their software uses Fermat's principle to find reflections from an implicitly-defined surface.
