JGV Customization
The current version of JGV is a base upon which the Geometry
Center staff expects to build more advanced, special-purpose
applications. Features which we may add include
- picking: the ability to point at an object in the scene
and have a configurable action happen in response
- motion inertia: give objects in the scene the ability
to move continuously on their own, while the user
independently controls the viewpoint
- web browser interaction: arrange for communication between the
JGV applet and other areas (i.e. Java applets, JavaScript
programs, etc), so that for example an action in the JGV window
might cause an equation on the Web page to change, or vice
versa.
We're especially interested in licensing JGV to companies or
institutions who will pay us, and we're willing to tailor future JGV
development in directions that meet the needs of our paying customers.
