General Computing

The Geometry Center tries to maintain an efficient software development environment, in spite of the diversity of architectures and complex file system at the Center. Though a liability in one regard, the complexity of the Geometry Center system provides a fine environment for testing code portability.

Languages -- Compilers, Interpreters and Geometry Center recommendations
Development Tools -- Debuggers, Make/Imake, RCS, etc.
The Programmer's Toolbox -- An assortment of unix tricks and utilities that you should use if you aren't.
