Level Sets of Single-Variable Functions
In the case of a function of one variable, a level set is the
set of points that are all sent to the same height by the function.
For example, the level set of 1 for a function f
is the set of all points x such that f(x)=1.
The level set of zero is the set containing the roots of f.
