Getting to the Center by Car:

If you're driving from out of town, your drive will surely end on either I-94 or I-35W; the University of Minnesota East Bank campus overlooks the river, and is located north of I-94 and east of I-35W. Coming from the airport, take 55 west, then 62 west to I-35W north, and follow the directions below for the Geometry Center:

Starting on I-94 westbound (from Madison and St. Paul): take the Huron Blvd. exit. Turn left on Washington Ave. Go four blocks to Harvard Street and take a right to get into the Washington Avenue parking ramp. When you leave the ramp on foot, exit through the east doors and cross Union Street. Go around the Electrical Engineering/Computer Science building to Lind Hall. The Center is on the fourth floor.

Starting on I-94 eastbound (from Fargo and Uptown): after you have passed most of downtown Minneapolis, take the left-hand exit for I-35W northbound. From I-35 W, take exit 122 for the "U of M East Bank campus". This will bring you through campus along Washington Avenue. Go left on Harvard Street to enter the Washington Avenue ramp.

Starting on I-35W northbound (from Iowa and the airport): as you get near downtown Minneapolis, avoid exits for downtown and for I-94, west and east. You'll be taking some sharp curves through this section, but stay on I-35W. You want the exit just after the one for I-94 eastbound. It says "[122], 3rd St., U of M". It has a long exit ramp -- you'll want the lane designated "U of M East Bank campus". This will bring you through campus along Washington Avenue. Go left on Harvard Street to enter the Washington Avenue ramp.

Starting on I-35W southbound (from Duluth): before you get to downtown Minneapolis, take the U of M University Avenue exit. Go left on University through campus to Oak Street. Take a right on Oak Street, and then right on Washington Avenue. Go two blocks to Harvard Street, then take a right on Harvard to access the Washington Avenue ramp.
